I am a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher based in Edinburgh. I undertook Zen yoga training (which is Yoga Alliance and Independent Yoga Network registered) with Zen Master Daizan Roshi - founder of Zenways Sangha and who was the first British person to become a Zen Master in the rigorous Rinzai tradition.

Previously I spent over 30 years working in the Corporate and Investment banking industries and my yoga journey began 10 years ago when a friend suggested that I try yoga to relieve a painful back issue.

The benefits which yoga brought me in terms of not only relieving my back problem but also in improving my health generally (from the increased strength and flexibility right through to improved breathing) became quickly apparent. Over the years my ongoing yoga practice, both in Edinburgh and London, became more frequent and varied up until the point I left the banking industry in 2015 and began full time yoga training. 

This yoga journey has also brought me an understanding of the yoga benefits for de-stressing the body. In combination with with the 100 hour Zenways mindfulness and meditation training which I have also undertaken I am now able to provide an all round holistic yoga experience to clients, focussing on the Zen principles of alignment, energetics and mindfulness (present moment awareness).

My current aim is to share the benefits of yoga practice not just amongst Edinburgh business professionals who feel they would benefit from time out from the office to clear their head and re-energise the body but to anyone who would like to experience the improved health benefits of yoga generally.
